New Table Layout and Track Plan

I have made some changes to both the table layout and the track layout based on the recent NCLUG meeting. It occurred to me that there was a better table configuration that what I had originally picked. We still have a little space left for anyone who is still interested in participating. I have also moved the layout plan over to BlueBrick which is why the images look differently than they have previously.

At the NCLUG meeting yesterday afternoon we were able to nail down some more aspects of the LEGOPalooza track plan. I have updated the plan and posted it on the 2010 LEGOPalooza page.

LEGOPalooza 2009

This weekend NCLTC will have a large train layout on display at LEGOPalooza. LEGOPalooza is a joint effort between NCLUG and the Morehead Planetarium. Located on Franklin Street in Chapel Hill, Morehead Planetarium has a large exhibition hall which will be filled with all sorts of LEGO exhibits. The train layout is just one of the exhibits which will be on display.

Saturday January 31st: 11 AM – 4 PM
Sunday February 1st: 1PM – 4PM

2009 LEGOPalooza Finalized Track Plan

The track plan for LEGOPalooza is now finalized. It has moved around quite a bit but at this point, I think it is done. It needs to be! This is by far the largest layout NCLTC has ever done. If you are in the Chapel Hill, NC area this weekend, drop by Morehead Planetarium and check it out.

NCLUG / NCLTC Christmas Tree at Tinsel Town

The joint NCLUG/NCLTC Christmas tree is on display at Tinsel Town at Koka Booth Amphitheatre in Cary. The tree is near the walkway down to the ice rink, next to the Wake Med tree. The tree looks really nice and is getting a lot of attention from Tinsel Town visitors.

Tinsel Town is located within the Koka Booth Amphitheatre which is in Regency Park in Southern Cary.

No Train Show this Holiday Season

For the first year in about 5 years, NCLTC will not have a train layout on display during the Holiday Season. We had contacted a couple local malls to see if they were interested in hosting our layout but none responded. NCLTC will join forces with NCLUG to decorate a tree at Tinsel Town.
